LOWER MACUNGIE TWP., Pa. - A deal has been struck to dedicate tax dollars to public infrastructure improvements needed to accommodate the proposed Hamilton Crossings shopping center in Lehigh County.
Tuesday the Lehigh County Industrial Development Authority gave the go-ahead for a tax revenue split among Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County and the developer.
The money can only be used for public improvements such as drainage and roadwork.
The proposed shopping center would be located on 63 acres along the Route 222 bypass at Krocks Road.
The deal must first be approved by several other agencies before it can go ahead.
