District Responds To 'Boobie Bracelet' Lawsuit

A local school district banned some controversial bracelets, and that resulted in a federal lawsuit.

Now, the district is responding.

Officials in the Easton Area School District made headlines after suspending two girls for wearing these "I heart boobies" bracelets to school.

The bracelets are meant to support breast cancer awareness.

The ACLU filed a lawsuit against the school district on the girls behalf, saying their first amendment rights were violated.

The district says it's not a free speech issue that the bracelets are vulgar, and led to inappropriate behavior by other students.

The district also says the bracelets violated the school's dress code.

A hearing in federal court on the case is set for December 16th.
