Drug Dealer Arrested in East Stroudsburg

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - Police in Monroe County have arrested a man for dealing drugs in the East Stroudsburg and Marshalls Creek area. Charles Scott Carpenter was arrested on Thursday as a results of an under cover investigation. Police spoke with 45 year old from Bushkill on the phone, posing as potential buyers. The transaction occured in East Stroudsburg, and that's when Police arrested Carpenter.

He is being accused of dealing heroine and cocaine.

Carpenter has been charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, criminal use of a communication facility, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Carpenter was on parole at the time of his arrest. He was on parole for a Megan's Law violation.

He was incarcerated at the Monroe County Correctional Facility in lieu of $3,000.00 bail. His next court date is scheduled for March 15.
