EASTON, Pa. - Easton police say they are trying to track down the gunman who deliberately shot at and hit an occupied car early Sunday morning.
The shooting happened around 3 a.m. at 9th and Ferry streets. Police said at least one bullet hit the car while people were inside. No one was injured.
Police believe the occupants of the car were specifically targeted by the gunman.
Police are not specifying how many people were inside the car at the time of the shooting.
Neighborhood residents told 69 News a stray bullet went into a home a few blocks away near Northampton and 9th streets. They say a woman was sleeping on the couch when a bullet glanced off her TV.
Police describe the shooter as as a black male with shoulder length dreadlocks, who was on foot when he fired at the vehicle.
Police said they have so far been unable to determine why the people inside the car were targeted "because they have not been fully cooperative with this investigation."
The investigation is continuing.
