Easton police investigate stabbing

Victim found in Phillipsburg, N.J.

EASTON, Pa. - A man is recovering from a stabbing and police are investigating the incident in Easton.

Easton Police found the victim on Morris Street in Phillipsburg. Warren County, N.J. around 9:30 Tuesday night.

The victim told police the stabbing took place in the area of Second and Spring Garden streets in Easton, but police were not able to find a crime scene.

The victim said he knew the suspect, and police are confident the incident was drug-related.

Police said the victim is refusing to cooperate, but said they know the victim was the intended target of the assault.

The suspect is described as a black man with cornrows and wearing a baseball cap and glasses.

The victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to be okay.
