The EPA says it has some major concerns about the proposed PennEast pipeline.

PennEast wants to build a more than 100 mile natural gas pipeline that would run through Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

This week, the EPA released its environmental impact statement on the project saying it has significant concerns.

The agency says the pipeline could negatively affect forests, water sources and rare or endangered species.

It also says many surveys, data collection and analysis are incomplete.

A statement from PennEast said in part, "PennEast will continue to provide FERC with all necessary information and looks forward to delivering to area families and businesses affordable, abundant, American-made energy."
