Fightin Phils come back for win over Akron

The Reading Fightin Phils earned a 7-5 comeback win over Akron at FirstEnergy Stadium Saturday night. 

Before the game, the Aeros won the resumption of Friday's suspended game, 4-3.

In the ensuing regularly scheduled game, the Fightin Phils banged out a season-high four home runs to overcome an early 4-0 deficit.

Miguel Abreu, Derek Mitchell, Cameron Rupp, and Jim Murphy all homered for the Fightin Phils.

Reading, which had lost 9 of its last 10 heading into the game, improves to 14-19 on the season.

Greg Smith (1-1, 4.50) got the win for the Fightin Phils on the mound.

Reading will wrap up its series with the Aeros on Sunday at 1:35pm in Baseballtown.
