EASTON, Pa. - Franklin Barndt pleaded guilty in Northampton County Court Thursday to charges that he served as a look-out for a killer five years ago -- and was sentenced to up to 42 years in prison.
He was sentenced to 16-42 years, according to a spokesman in the Northampton County district attorney's office. That sentence will follow his current sentence, which has three years remaining.
He pleaded to conspiracy to commit criminal homicide and terroristic threats.
Barndt is accused of helping Jacob Holmes shoot and kill Miguel Aponte at the Easton Cafe in March 2009.
Officials said Barndt told Holmes where to find the victim and later got rid of the murder weapon by throwing it into the Delaware River.
