Bank in downtown Reading robbed 2nd time in 8 days

READING, Pa. - Police are on the hunt for a man who may have robbed the same bank for the second time in the last eight days.

The holdup happened around 1:15 p.m. Friday at the Fulton Bank in the 200 block of North 5th Street in downtown Reading.

The masked robber didn't show a weapon but made off with cash from the bank, police said. He was described as a black man who stands about six feet tall. He was wearing a red-and-black checkered jacket and was last seen running east from the bank.

The same bank was robbed on Nov. 8. Bank employees told police they believe the same man may be responsible for both holdups.

Anyone with information about either robbery can call Crime Alert Berks County at 877-373-9913.
