Garbage truck catches fire, dumps load at I-78 ramp

SALISBURY TWP., Pa. - A garbage truck caught fire and dropped its load at an Interstate 78 exit in Lehigh County Friday morning.

According to county communication officials, the incident happened around 8:30 a.m. on I-78 eastbound at the Summit Lawn exit in Salisbury Township.

It's not clear how the truck caught fire, but officials said the load the truck was carrying spilled on the highway.

There's no word of any injuries.

Traffic is backed up past the Lehigh street exit.
