GIANT removes dark chocolate items from store after recall

If you have a milk allergy and bought dark chocolate almonds or dark chocolate coffee beans sold in bulk bins, you may not want to take a bite.

First Source recalled the dark chocolate items sold in bulk, in addition to Alpine Valley dark chocolate almonds, because they may contain the allergen, milk, that isn't listed on the ingredient label.

Following the recall, GIANT Food Stores removed the items from sale.

GIANT hasn't received any reports of illnesses to date.

Customers who have purchased these products should discard any unused portions and bring their receipt back to GIANT for a full refund, the news release from the company states.
