Hamburg grad brings field hockey camp to alma mater

Berks Olympian runs camp at alma mater

Two-time Olympian Kayla Bashore-Smedley brought her unique field hockey camp to her alma mater at Hamburg High School this week.

Bashore-Smedley, a 2001 Hamburg grad, spent this past week teaching kids more than just field hockey skills at Hamburg Area Stadium.

Bashore-Smedley's camp also emphasizes character development and community awareness.

Bashore-Smedley played for the U.S. field hockey team in the Beijing and London Olympic Games.
