Home Run Derby For Breast Cancer

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - People were taking swings to beat breast cancer today at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown.

The Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition held its 3rd annual Home Run Derby at the ballpark.

Eight teams competed in the derby.

Each team donated $500 to compete, but this year, single batters were also allowed to hit.

The event raises money for breast cancer research and other resources for those with breast cancer.

Today's event was the seventh of 11 home run derbies in minor league ballparks across the state.

The "Take a Swing" tour will wrap up next Friday at FirstEnergy Stadium in Reading.
