HS BASEBALL RUNDOWN: Salisbury storms back for win

The Salisbury baseball team scored four times in the seventh inning to earn a 6-5, come-from-behind, walk-off win over Pine Grove Saturday night in the District 11 2A semifinals at Limeport Stadium.

After taking a 2-0 lead in the first inning, the Falcons fell behind 5-2 entering the seventh before rallying for the win.

The win avenges last year's loss to Pine Grove in the District 11 title game.

Salisbury will face Colonial League rival Notre Dame in the championship game on Wednesday at Coca-Cola Park.  The Crusaders beat North Schuylkill 4-0 in the other 2A semifinal.

In the 4A bracket, Parkland and Whitehall will meet for the District championship on Wednesday in a rematch of last week's LVC championship.

Whitehall, which won the LVC championship, beat Stroudsburg 11-3 in the semifinals at Hackett Park.  Parkland shut out Pocono Mountain East 3-0 in the other semifinal.

In the 3A bracket, Southern Lehigh advanced to the title game with a 5-3 win over Pottsville at Parkland High School.

The Spartans will face top-seeded Tamaqua for the District title on Tuesday at Coca-Cola Park.  Tamaqua beat Lehighton 6-1 in the other 3A semifinal.
