Hunterdon County officials charge woman with stealing $500,000 from employer.

Colleen Mahony-Sgro of Slatington faces theft, forgery charges.

FLEMINGTON, N.J. - New Jersey offficials said a woman from Lehigh County stole more than half-a-million dollars from her employer.

Colleen Mahony-Sgro of Slatington, is charged with theft by deception and forgery, among other things.

Police said the 54-year-old woman stole the money while working as a bookkeeper for Bolton Construction, located in Hunterdon County.

Officials said Mahony-Sgrow posted $50,000 bail and was released, pending a first appearance in court.
