Judge orders Pa. lawmaker to stay away from home, wife

A judge has ordered a Lehigh Valley lawmaker to stay away from his home and family, days after he was charged with DUI and assault.

A judge granted a protection from abuse order to Norma Jane Brennan, the estranged wife of Pa. Rep. Joe Brennan., according to court documents.

Norma Brennan claims she was assaulted by Joe Brennan at their home in Fountain Hill, Lehigh Co., on Wednesday afternoon, according to court documents.

He punched and choked her and wrestled her to their ground on their front porch, officials said.

Later that day, Joe Brennan was arrested and charged with driving drunk. It's his second DUI offense this year, officials said.
