SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. -

A man convicted of involuntary manslaughter and kidnapping in Schuylkill County has learned his fate.

Keith Reber has been sentenced 14 to 28 years in state prison.

Reber was found not guilty of murder in June.

Officials said Reber left Bryan Smith tied to a tree outside of Schuylkill Haven last May. Smith was found dead hours later.

Reber said he didn't mean to kill Smith, but he tied him to a tree to teach him a lesson.
