Lehigh student startles intruder in house

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - A Lehigh University student startled an intruder inside her home Tuesday afternoon, police said.

The incident happened around 1 p.m. inside an off-campus house in the 500 block of East Fifth Street.

The house is occupied by Lehigh students, and one of the female occupants at home found the intruder.

The burglar immediately fled on foot, and was caught a short time later by Bethlehem police.

The student was not hurt, and the suspect will be charged by Bethlehem police.
