$2,000 reward for info leading to arrest of alleged robber

NORTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. - Police say a man reportedly took an envelope full of cash out of a person's back pocket in a Lehigh County Weis Market. 

Officials responded to the market at 5020 Rt. 873 in North Whitehall Township for the report of a robbery Wednesday just before 5 p.m.

Police say an older gentlemen was standing in front of a lottery kiosk at the front of the store, when the alleged robber stood behind the victim, leaned over and took an envelope of cash out of his pocket. He then fled through the main doors and ran toward the McDonald's area on Rt. 873. 

The man is described as having brown hair, a full beard, thin build, and around 5 feet 10 inches tall to 6 feet tall. He was last seen wearing dark blue jeans, black sneakers and a red-hooded sweatshirt. 

Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of this individual is asked to call Bethlehem State Police at 610-861-2026 and reference PA18-106902. You can also call Lehigh Valley Crime Stoppers at 1-800-426-TIPS. Callers do not have to give their name and could be eligible for a cash reward of $2,000.
