3 prowlers try to flee vacant home from 3rd floor window, police say

WILSON, Pa. - Three prowlers found inside a vacant home tried to flee from police by climbing out a third-floor window, officials said.

Betrand Rejouis, John H. Bonapart and Damitry Laws were caught trying to escape from the window after they had run up to the third floor of an unoccupied home in the 1800 block of Fairview St., Wilson, Northampton Co., at about 3:15 a.m. Saturday, officials said.

The men were first spotted by police coming down the stairs from the second floor, after officers had entered the home through an open rear door, officials said.

Rejouis, 21, of 130 South 10th St., and Bonapart, 18, of 1153 Lehigh St., both of Easton, and Laws, 18, of 1918 Freemansburg Ave., Wilson, were each arraigned on charges of criminal trespass, conspiracy, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief and committed to the Northampton County Prison, court papers show.

Rejouis' bail was set at $20,000, while Bonapart and Laws' was set at $15,000 each, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing will be held for all three at 10 a.m. April 26.
