5 vie for Lehigh County Executive job

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The deadline has passed and five candidates are now in the running for Lehigh County's top job.

Four men and one woman have submitted their resumes for the position of Lehigh County Executive.

Ann Marie Ganchoso of Allentown, is an information planning assistant at Lehigh and Northampton Transportation Authority.

Daniel McCarthy of Allentown, is the solicitor for the Allentown Parking Authority. He is also currently serving his third term on the Lehigh County Board of Commissioners.

William Hansell of Macungie, owns a business that consults for governments and associations.

Matthew Croslis of Allentown, owns a title insurance and real estate company. He ran for the position of Lehigh County Executive in 2011.

John Ingram II of Allentown, owns a commercial real estate and consulting company.

The intergovernmental committee of the Lehigh County commissioners will review the applicants and recommend a candidate to the board by August 8.

Don Cunningham left the Lehigh County Executive position on July 6 to take a job as president and CEO of the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation.

He was county executive for six years.
