600 boxes gifted to Easton families

EASTON, Pa. - Monday, hundreds received free gifts.

Six-hundred boxes of items were donated to the Salvation Army in Easton from an anonymous source.

"Some of the boxes have clothing, some have make up products, candy," Elizabeth Reyes of the Salvation Army said.

The boxes also included food, basic medical supplies, holiday decorations and more.

On Monday they were passed out to families in the Easton area.

"The turnout has been wonderful." Freddie Maisonet of the Salvation Army said.

The specific contents inside of each gift remained a mystery until opened by the recipients at home.

"It is kind of like Christmas!" Easton resident, Mackenzie Kressley said.

The Lehigh Valley Salvation Army serves more than 52,000 people across the area each year.
