75-year-old man dies days after crash on Route 22

HANOVER TWP., Pa. - An Allentown man died from injuries sustained in a crash on Route 22 in Hanover Township, Northampton County, earlier this week.

Jacques Altorfer, 75, was pronounced dead early Friday morning at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem Campus, according to the Lehigh County coroner's office.

Altorfer was involved in a crash on Route 22 near Route 512 on Tuesday. The crash, which happened around 12:20 p.m., shut down all lanes for about an hour.

The coroner's office ruled Altorfer's death an accident.
