A magical Valentine's moment at the Promenade Shops

A horse-drawn carriage ride for all.

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. - It doesn't really get more romantic than this - a ride in a horse-drawn carriage in the crisp Valentine's Day air...of course, with the kids in tow.

The magical idea was thought up by the folks at The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley. They figured why not spread the love by offering this free little excursion.

So, for a few hours, the blue skies provided a clear path for Cupid to make his way around the block.

Then as the sun set on Valentine's Day and the twinkling lights turned the night even more whimsical, that's when the real adventure began.

"We want to fill the air with magic!" begins The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley Marketing Coordinator Jennifer Mitchell.

"I'm feeling excited!" says 8-year-old Piper Juhasz.

"Tonight is a beautiful night so everybody's here," says Mitchell.

Penny McPhaul came out for the ride.

"I thought it would be great!" she says. "I said, it's free and this would usually be expensive, so, and it's my birthday!" she adds excitedly.

We ask her husband if that makes the day easier or harder from a pressure standpoint.

Roger Yeakel smiles.

"No problem! Little planning," he says.

There's all kinds of love out there...

"I like kissing and hugging my mom," Piper says.

So here's just a little more, courtesy of your neighborhood shopping center.

"We want it to be an experience, so much more than just the shopping feel," Mitchell says.

So whether you're a young princess - or already living your happily ever after - we hope on this Valentine's Day, you're simply enjoying the ride.
