Accident slows morning commute on Route 22

Crash backs up Rt 22 commute

BETHLEHEM TWP., Pa. - Two separate accidents on Route 22 in Northampton County have traffic backed up Friday morning.

The first accident was reported right before 8 a.m. in the westbound lanes near Route 191 in Bethlehem Twp.

Several people were taken to the hospital.

The backup goes at least back to the Route 33 interchange, and in the backup, officials said another accident occurred, also in the westbound lanes.

A wheelchair van operated by Suburban Ambulance is involved in the second accident.

There were no injuries in the second crash.
