Christopher Beamer plays at Musikfest

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - A determined Lehigh County man who has overcome long odds after an automobile accident 18 years ago was a source of inspiration at Musikfest Wednesday night.

Christopher Beamer of Center Valley played the guitar during a concert held by Scott Marshall and the Marshall Highway at the Wells Fargo Festplatz in Bethlehem.

It's been a long road to the stage for Beamer.

He was seriously injured in an accident in Lower Saucon Township back in June of 1996.

He was only four years old at the time.

Now 22, Beamer says it has been his lifelong dream to perform at Musikfest.

And it took years of therapy to get to this point.

"I have a music therapist that teaches guitar. She modifies some of the things that need to be done," Beamer says.

Beamer loves rock music and likes to play the guitar for the girls.
