Allentown family donates Christmas trees to 2 communities

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - An Allentown family is brightening the holidays for two local communities.

The Leavy family recently purchased a home on 33rd Street in Allentown. They were cleaning up the landscaping around the home and decided to donate one of their big pine trees to the city.

The tree was chopped down Tuesday and delivered to 8th and Hamilton streets, where it will be decorated and put on display through the new year.

The Leavys have another big tree that it will donate to Emmaus, Lehigh Co.
