Allentown investigates city malware breach

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The city of Allentown says a malware breach was found last Tuesday and its continuing to work to solve the issue.

The city says it's contracted with Microsoft for $185,000 and they've been on scene since Feb. 15.

How the malware breach occurred is under investigation.

Some of the city's systems are not operating as a precaution, as the situation is under control but not mitigated.

The city says there's no reason to believe anyone's personal information contained in the city's systems has been compromised.
