Allentown man charged in shooting of ex-girlfriend, her boyfriend

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - An Allentown man is behind bars after police say he shot his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend in South Bethlehem Friday night.

Police say Anthony Delgado, 35, broke into a home in the 1500 block of East 6th Street around 7 p.m. and shot the pair.

One of the victims was shot in the forehead and the other in the arm. They were taken to St. Luke's Hospital for treatment.

Police say Delgado took off after the shooting, but officers were able to track him down through the snow.

Bethlehem police were also able to find the rifle he used under a nearby bridge.

Police say Delgado and his ex-girlfriend's young son was home during the shooting.

Delgado is facing charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, burglary and endangering the welfare of a child.  He's also facing firearm charges.

He is being held at the Northampton County Prison on $1 million bail.

The condition of the victims is unknown at this time and police are not releasing their names.
