Allentown police seek three men in attempted robbery

Police release surveillance pictures of armed robbery

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Allentown police are seeking the public's help to identify three suspects in the Monday night attempted robbery at Jade Garden Restaurant, 624 N. Maxwell St.

Police have released photos showing two of the suspects. One is armed with what appears to be a sawed-off shotgun. All three are described as males in their late teens or early 20s.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call police at 610-437-7721 or 610-437-7751.

At 9:43 p.m. Monday, the three individuals approached a female employee at the restaurant. One of the men told her to be quiet. She fled out a back door.

Police report the three apparently aborted the robbery without taking anything when the employee fled.

Police describe one suspect as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male, with a thin build. he was wearing a red t-shirt with white design and jeans.

The second suspect was described as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male who is 5-foot-10-inches tall, medium build. He was wearing a blue t-shirt, blue jeans and had a black shirt wrapped around his face.

The third suspect was described as also being about 5-foot-10 and medium build. No clothing description was available on that suspect.
