Allentown robbery suspect, Carlos Ramirez, surrenders to police

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A man wanted in the armed robberies of three stores in Allentown has given himself up, police said.

Carlos Ramirez was charged Monday night in the robberies of the Walgreens store in the 1800 block of South 5th Street on December 8 and December 20, said Capt. George Medero, Allentown Police Dept.

Ramirez, 40, is also accused of robbing the Hess Mart in the 700 block of Hanover Street on December 22, Medero said.

Ramirez was committed to the Lehigh County Prison on three counts of armed robbery and one unrelated charge of theft.
