Allentown wants to buy part of Queen City Airport property

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The city of Allentown says it's ready to make a deal with the Queen City Airport.

The city currently leases an eight-acre slice of land at the airport, which is used by its streets department.

Now it wants to buy that land.

Mayor Ed Pawlowski's office says the city has sent a letter to the Lehigh Northampton Airport Authority indicating its interest in the land, but there's been no response.
