Amir Featherson pleads no contest in shooting

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - A 17-year-old from Allentown, charged with shooting another teen, has entered a plea in the case.

Amir Featherson pleaded guilty to aggravated assault on Monday. Charges of possession of a firearm, reckless endangerment and conspiracy were withdrawn.

Police say Featherson shot Joseph Ortiz, 18, in the back in 2012. Officials say surveillance footage captured Featherson running away from the crime scene firing a handgun.

Ortiz was seriously injured, but he survived the attack.

Featherson was 15-years-old when he was initially arrested.
