Another attempt to extend King George Inn's reign

SOUTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. - The reign of Lehigh County's King George Inn may not be over yet.

South Whitehall Township commissioners say they want to meet with developer Atul Patel to discuss what can be done to save the historic landmark.

Township manager Jon Hammer says no meeting has been set yet.

Patel has plans to demolish the restaurant and build a new restaurant, a bank and a pharmacy in its place.

The owner closed the King George Inn back in August after forty-two years of business.
