Another night in the dark for many Lehigh Valley residents

Monday marked another night in the dark for thousands of Lehigh Valley residents.

Friday's storm knocked out power across the region.

Some residents in Mount Bethel said they’re worried the power won’t be on in time for Wednesday’s impending winter weather.

Kevin Hanlon said the wind brought a tree down on his barn and also on the roof of his house. He said he needs to patch the roof but can't without power to run the tools to do so.

“Without power, we've been taking a daily drive to see how far the progress is going and to find something to eat,” Hanlon said.

Hanlon said he and his neighbors have been closely watching the power outage restoration progress. Power companies say they are working as quickly as possible.
