Armed bandit hits Speedway in Hanover Township

HANOVER TWP., Pa. - A masked man held up a busy gas station in Northampton County Saturday.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. at the Speedway in the 300 block of Schoenersville Road, Hanover Township.

Police said the robber pointed a "large-framed black and silver handgun" at the teller and demanded money.

Police described the robber as a Hispanic or Middle Eastern male standing about five feet eight inches.

Witnesses said he was wearing a black hoodie and grey sweatpants and had black and white bandana covering his face.

He reportedly fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
