Authorities allege Bethlehem man possessed 100 child porn images

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - State prosecutors have charged a Northampton County man with 100 counts of possessing child pornography after tracking him down through an on-line file-serving service.

The Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office charged Damian Allen with 100 felony counts of child pornography and a single felony count of criminal use of a communication device. Authorities arrested the 42-year-old this week.

District Judge Roy Manwaring arraigned Allen, setting bail at $150,000 with a 10 percent cash option, if approved by Northampton County pre-trial services.

Investigators said they tracked Allen to his Linden Street home in Bethlehem, where he admitted to viewing at least 100 child porn images. The images saved to his computer "clearly depict" children who are under the age of 18 engaging in sex acts, according to court records.

Pre-trial services allowed a 10 percent cash option. Authorities released Allen from Northampton County Prison on Wednesday after he posted $15,000 cash. On-line court records also list a Royersford, Montgomery County, address for Allen.

His next court date is a preliminary hearing scheduled for Dec. 12.
