Authorities deem Liberty High School safe

Building evacuated after bomb threat

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Classes at Liberty High School have resumed after authorities deemed the building safe following a bomb threat Friday morning.

Joseph Roy, the Bethlehem Area School District superintendent, said the Bethlehem police and fire departments have swept the building and deemed the school safe.

Authorities were investigating a bomb threat that was written on a bathroom wall. Liberty students were evacuated to the stadium in response.

Roy said via Twitter that an "investigation to identify (the) perpetrator of the hoax is well underway."
