BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Bethlehem Area School District is once again considering making big changes at Nitschmann Middle School.
The district had debated renovating or rebuilding the school years ago but scrapped the plans because there wasn't enough money in the budget.
Now, because the district is in a better place financially, the school board is again addressing the issues at the school, said Joseph Roy, the district's superintendent.
The talks are still very preliminary, but eventually, voters could decide whether the district can take out a loan to pay to rebuild the school, Roy said.
If the district decides to rebuild, the loan question will be put on the ballot in the spring of 2014.
