Basrawi announces bid for Allentown mayor

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - Another candidate is throwing his hat  into the ring to become mayor of Allentown.

Joseph "Bas" Basrawi announced Friday he will run for Allentown mayor.

He joins a growing list of candidates running for the position.

Last month City Council President Ray O'Connell and real estate developer Nat Hyman announced they would both be in the race.

David Jones, Sam Bennett, Charlie Thiel, Joshua Siegel, and Nathan Woodring are also running.

Current Mayor Ed Pawlowski also announced he is seeking reelection for his fourth term.
