Bethlehem cop hurt while serving arrest warrant

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Bethlehem police say a police officer was rushed to the hospital after being assaulted while serving an arrest warrant.

It happened Monday in the 700 block of Wyandotte Street.

Police say two officers knocked on an apartment door to serve an arrest warrant to 24-year-old Robert Grosset on drug charges.

That's when police say Grosset opened the door and then slammed it into one of the officers; the door's window glass shattered and caused a large laceration on the officer's right arm.

Police say the officer needed surgery on his arm.

Grosset was taken into custody in his apartment.

He is being charged with resisting arrest and aggravated assault on a police officer.
