Bethlehem mayor walks streets with police, fire officials

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Officials in Bethlehem took to the streets to check in with the community.

Mayor Robert Donchez joined members of the police and fire departments for a "Dare to Care" community walk Tuesday on the west-side of the city.

Donchez talked with neighbors, and fire crews offered residents smoke detectors for their homes.

West-side residents were able to voice their opinions Tuesday evening at a town hall meeting at Church of the Manger.

A similar event will take place on the north-side in September.
