Bethlehem mom who left baby in car while allegedly in bar to plead guilty

Mom accused of leaving kids alone pleads guilty

BETHLEHEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A mother who left her baby inside a cold car for hours while allegedly at a bar plans to plead guilty to a lesser charge, according to her attorney.

Lisa Altif was arrested in March outside of Keystone Pub in Bethlehem Township after police found a crying two-month old girl in her car in the bar's parking lot.

Altif had been inside, drinking pinot grigio, according to police.

Police say the infant was strapped inside a mini-van for almost five hours.. with no formula or diapers in the car.

Altif appeared in court Tuesday to waive her preliminary hearing.

According to one of her attorneys, Melissa Rudas, Altif has agreed to plead guilty to a lesser charge of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child, but this agreement is waiting approval from the courts.

Altif had been facing felony endangering the welfare of a child charges.

Altif is currently in jail and has not posted bail.
