Bethlehem police investigating connection between shootings

Fatal shooting victim at scene of earlier shooting

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Police in Bethlehem are investigating a link between two shootings that happened less than a week apart.

Authorities said 19-year-old Teayahe Glover was found dead Wednesday morning at Sioux and Sassafras streets near the Five Points intersection. She had been fatally shot, according to investigators.

Police are now investigating a possible connection between the fatal shooting of Glover and another shooting last week, when Alan Young was shot and injured. Court records indicate Glover and Young were dating.

Police arrested Tariq D. Page Saturday, charging him with attempted homicide and related offenses for allegedly shooting Young twice inside a home in the 500 block of Cherokee Street.

Investigators interviewed Glover's mother in connection with last week's shooting on Cherokee Street, according to Page's criminal complaint. She told authorities that she knew Page because he previously dated Glover, her daughter, according to records.

The mother also told police she had bee notified by friends at the house that Page allegedly shot Young.

Glover's mother initially contacted police about a video from the night of the party that had been uploaded to Page's Facebook page and subsequently removed. Investigators were able to locate the video through another person who attended the party.

The video reportedly shows Page rapping before turning the camera toward the victim and Glover, who is sitting on Young's lap.

Police said the video also shows Page holding a gun that was later found hidden in the basement behind the furnace.
