Bethlehem police: Man shoots ex-girlfriend, her new boyfriend

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Two people are in the hospital and a suspect is in custody after a shooting in Bethlehem Friday night.

According to Bethlehem police, it happened around 7 p.m. at a residence at 1503 E. 6th Street.

Police say there are two victims, a man and a woman; one person was shot in the forehead and another in the arm in what is described as a domestic incident.

Police say the suspect is an ex-boyfriend who shot his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend.

After the shooting, police say the suspect fled on foot and was tracked down by footprints in the snow.

Police also say the shooter threw the alleged weapon, a rifle, into the water from a nearby bridge.

Both victims are currently at St. Luke’s in an unknown condition.
