BETHLEHEM, Pa. - A bomb threat called in to Nitschmann Middle school has been ruled not credible.
School officials say the threat, called in from an off campus location, caused the school to shut down Monday.
Bethlehem police and fire departments responded to the school and all students and staff who were on campus for after school activities were evacuated.
Out of an abundance of caution, the building was evacuated, searched and cleared by the police and fire departments.
Officials say the school reopened for previously scheduled community activities Monday evening and school will be open on a regular schedule on Tuesday.
