Fire engulfs Bushkill Township home

BUSHKILL TWP., Pa. - Fire gutted a home in Bushkill Township, Northampton County Monday afternoon.

It erupted around 2:30 p.m. at a house on Bushkill Center Road. Firefighters arrived to find the two-story home engulfed in flames.

Hours later they were still on the scene putting out hot spots.

The family wasn't home at the time of the fire but neighbors have banned together to help.

"We're very closely bonded.. we've all grown up together, we've all been together.  People who live in the back, they called, we called, we're all just family honestly and we try to stick together as much as possible," said neighbor Makayla Margli.

A GoFundMe page has been set up to help the family displaced by the fire.

No one was hurt and there's still no word on what caused the fire.
