Card-skimming device found at Wilson convenience store

EASTON, Pa. - Wilson Borough Police responded to a call early Friday afternoon in regards to a card-skimming device found at a gas pump.

The device was found at the Penn Jersey Convenience Store, located at 2134 Northampton St., Easton, after Northampton County Weights and Measures Department personnel were on scene checking the gas pumps.

Police say a skimming device was placed inside pump No. 4, but do not know when. Anyone who used pump No. 4 should monitor their credit and debit cards.

All other pumps at the store were checked and free of card-skimming devices.

Wilson Borough Police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information should contact Detective Jason Hillis at (610) 258-8542 or jhillis@wilsonborough.org
