Case of Allentown laundromat shooter going to trial

Preliminary hearing held Thursday for teen-ager Hasan Collier

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The case against Allentown laundromat shooter Hasan Collier, Jr., is going to trial.

Seventeen-year-old Collier has admitted to shooting 59-year-old David Sanchez during an argument inside the  laundromat in the 300 block of Ridge Avenue on May 29.

Sanchez was shot multiple times.

A preliminary hearing on charges against Collier was held Tuesday, with the determination that there was sufficient evidence against the defendant for the case to go to trial.

Those charges included attempted criminal homicide, possession with intent to deliver, aggravated assault, receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm by a minor and carrying a firearm without a license.
