Christopher Gittins arrested on drug charges

Forks Township man was target of police investigation

EASTON, Pa. - Forty-one-year-old  Christopher Gittins of Forks Township was arrested on drug charges at his Forks Township home Friday.

Gittens was the target of a police drug investigation.

At 8:51 a.m. Friday, the Easton Police Vice/Narcotics Unit and the Northampton County Drug Task Force executed a narcotics search warrant at his residence in the 1700 block of Clarendon Drive in the township.

Gittins has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver anabolic steroids and marijuana, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Vice detectives seized a .45 caliber automatic handgun, about $10,500 of marijuana, $1,600 worth of anabolic steroids and $250 of methamphetamine.

Another large amount of pills were located and are in the process of being tested to determine the identity of the substance.

Further charges may be filed at a later date when laboratory testing is complete.

The Northampton County Drug Task Force and Forks Township Police Department were on scene and assisted the Easton Police Vice Unit in the investigation. The Easton Police Special Response Unit served the warrant.
